Several men from First Baptist Church meet the last Saturday of the month for a
discipleship breakfast. Pastor MacDonald cooks breakfast, serves the men, and
then teaches from the Scriptures on a variety of topics that affect men in the 21st century.
Pastor disciples Christian men to be fellow servant leaders in keeping with the
Apostle Paul’s instruction to Timothy:
"The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses,
entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
(2 Timothy 2:2)
Men's Discipleship Breakfasts' are perfect opportunities to fulfill Paul’s instruction to
equip the men of our church for ministry and Jude’s directive to teach them to -
“. . . contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.”
Men of faith! If you are between the ages of 13 and 163,
you are welcome to join us! Soli Deo Gloria!
Several ladies from First Baptist Church meet the on Monday evenings (twice a month)
for a night of prayer and crafts. Annmarie MacDonald provides the devotional for the
ladies and everyone has a wonderful time of creativity and fellowship.
All ladies are welcome at our meetings.
"House of Bread"
Every Monday Evening from 6:00-7:00 PM, First Baptist Church opens our
food pantry to those in the community that need a little extra food,
and of course, a copy of the Holy Scriptures.
31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He
will sit on the throne of His glory. 32. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He
will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the
King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit
the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry
and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; . . .37 “Then the righteous
will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty
and give You drink?. . .’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say
to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
Street Disciples frequently visit Memorial Park in Port Jervis by twos to
engage residents about life, death, and of course, the way to eternal salvation.
If you have a heart for the lost, Street Disciples is the perfect ministry for you!
. . . ‘Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in,
so that my house may be filled."
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.”
The Green Team
(New Ministry Forming soon)
We are here to serve our community in Jesus’ name.
Volunteers from FBC meet the first Saturday of the month (from June-October)
for community cleanups. As we help clean the neighborhoods around our church
buildings, this Eco-friendly ministry also provides us with a forum to share the love
of Jesus Christ and the salvation He offers through the gospel.
Armed with gloves, trash bags, hand sanitizer, and gospel tracks, the Green Team
prayerfully looks for opportunities to share the good news with our neighbors in Port Jervis.
